Melios Pet Centre was the first to introduce rare and unusual birds and animals to Cyprus. He was the first to bring the Wallaby, Muntjak (mini deer), Guandi, Crowned Crane, Marabou Stork Secretary Bird, Eclectus Parrot, Pelican, flamingo and many more. To this day his aim is to continue to introduce animals and birds that have never existed before in Cyprus. In 2006, we saw the arrival of the Lechwe, which is known to be the fastest moving antelope in water, the Highlander Cow that can weigh over 1200 pounds, has long hair and large distinguishing horns, and other animals such as the Guanaco, Llama, Quessant Sheep, mini goats and many more. In June 2007 our park has seen the arrival of more new and excitng animals. The Watusi, which are known to grow the largest horns in all the cattle family, the Mini Zebu (cow) and the very large and striking Nilgai. Visitors will be surprised by what there is to see. There is a large variety and quantity of Pheasants, Chickens, Partridges, Francolins, Ducks, Geese, Pigeons, Doves and Parrots, Parakeets, Softbills, Ostriches, Mara, Monkeys, Skunks, raccoons and many, many more. We have Birds of Prey such as Eagles, Hawks and Falcons, and amazing parrots such as the Macaw, African Grey, Amazons and Cockatoo.
